To refresh a gallery on a tight budget and timeline
One of the best ways to refresh a space when you are tight on time and money is to gather successful interactives that were created in years past from around the museum or from storage and regroup them in a fun and meaningful way. In the case of the Tech Interactive, they came to me with this idea about a gallery of physical-to-virtual experiences. They had earmarked a handful of interactives and needed to figure out how they could house all of them in the gallery and create something that felt new and fresh.
We worked through floorplan and some redesign and adaptations of individual interactives to make the exhibits work in the space, and, simultaneously, updated with a fresh color palette for the walls and carpet to unify the space.
